Men’s wellness issues are many and varied; however, when embarking on the path to wellness, it is sometimes easier to start by looking at the “big picture” and then hone in on the more minute details.

TMWC has identified three major areas under which men’s wellness issues arise and these are areas where men commonly are either reluctant to seek assistance or are unable to do so for a variety of different reasons, including self-unawareness:

  1. Relationships
  2. Sexuality
  3. Weight and Fitness (overall physical health)

Interestingly enough, each of these areas relates to/encompasses/embraces the six needs that TMWC has identified as integral to men’s wellness:

  1. Social
  2. Occupational
  3. Intellectual
  4. Physical
  5. Emotional
  6. Spiritual

The following information is by no means intended to be the “last word” on relationships, sexuality and/or overall physical health. Rather, the information is general in nature but it is a starting point and is presented as a means to initiate introspection, self-examination and discussion. The hope is that, together with a TMWC counselor, men will first identify the major area(s) of their life where they need help/improvement and then focus in on those needs within that/those area(s), which are being neglected and/or where the help is required.
